Welcome back to the Creative Awards London blog where we bring you the very best in our custom awards and trophies for the UK's biggest events and brands.This Premier League season has been unusual to say the least. The 19/20 season witnessed Liverpool end their 30 year wait for a title as they stormed the league to be crowned Premier League champions. Elsewhere, the battle for Champions League qualification saw Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City take the 3 allocated spots whilst Norwich, Watford and Bournemouth relegated to the Championship.

Crowdless stadia greeted the players in Project Restart and VAR, of course, courted controversy throughout the season. Meanwhile, local club West Ham United (the subject of today's blog) had a usual up and down season with highlights including doing the double over Chelsea and historic wins over London clubs. 

As per tradition, West Ham United announced their Player of the Season a few days after the end of the league with academy graduate Declan Rice taking the prestigious accolade. Receiving nearly 50% of the votes from an online poll conducted with West Ham season ticket holders, the youngster held off defender and runner-up Angelo Ogbonna and forward Michail Antonio who finished in third place. 

21-year-old Rice has had an impressive season and his development as one of England's hottest prospects continued at a fierce pace. The youngster won over both critics and fans through his tenacious performances. Playing in each of the club's 37 league games, Rice played nearly 500 minutes more than any other Hammer in all competitions this year.

A captain on four occasions, Rice's elegant style, defensive capabilities and leadership shone throughout the campaign, Creative Awards London were tasked with creating the "Betway Hammer of the Year" (our fifth time creating the award) and a custom glass award was chosen for the club. Featuring the iconic crossed hammers bade, the glass award was hand engraved with the club's logo and the details of the winner,
