Foodies 2020

Foodies 2020

Welcome back to the Creative Awards London blog, this week we are looking at our fabulous food and drink inspired awards where we have created pieces for some of the UK’s biggest events and most celebrated industry awards in hospitality and dining. The UK has one of the most thriving hospitality sectors in the world with around 3.2 million workers employed in the industry and with a turnover of around 130 Billion pounds a year. With Lockdown restrictions lifting in pubs and restaurants, we raise a glass to the chefs, bar staff and servers returning to work after many months in limbo. At Creative Awards London we urge our clients to get out to their local bars and restaurants and support this vital area of the UK economy. From trendy Time Out eateries to earthy and cosy Scottish pubs our bespoke awards celebrate some of our finest awards in the food and drinks industry.

Scottish Bar and Pub Awards

Scottish AwardFrom the cobbled streets of Edinbrugh’s Royal Mile to the desolate beauty of the Western Isles Scotland has some of the finest pubs  in the UK. Scotland's pubs offer cosy respite from the unpredictable weather, the roaring atmosphere of an Old Firm Derby or place to rest your weary feet after a day taking in the scenery of the Cairngorms. The body of this fabolous award is made from optically clear acrylic that is precision engineered into the outline of Alba fitted onto a gold metallic base.

Time Out Eating and Drinking Award

Bespoke Fork AwardLondon showcases the finest fare the country has to offer. From East End curry houses to West End bistros, from Peckham rooftops to north London Delis, the capital is packed with dining experiences for everyone. London alone boasts an incredible 67 Michelin starred eateries.  Gowever with over 15,000 restaurants in the city there can be only one winner.... We celebrate that esteemed winner in style with this elegant and minimalist piece.

Copper Stag

Copper Stag AwardThis bespoke piece was created for a well known Scottish whiskey producer using hand worked wood from barrels used in the production of sherry giving the award a unique perfumed aroma. Topped with a copper rendering of that most symbolic of highland icons - The Stag. ‘The Water of Life’ has been manufactured in Scotland for over 500 years and this piece pays homage to that history with simplicity and style.

The Dalmore Award

Dalmore AwardThis design brings us back to the ‘Auld Country’ with yet another famous whiskey brand from north of the border. The Dalmore distillery is situated 20 miles north of Inverness in picturesque countryside commanding spectacular views of the Black Isle. The famous Dalmore stag, which takes centre stage in this piece, was bestowed upon the local clan Mackenzie for allegedly saving the life of Scottish King Alexander III from a charging stag. The grateful King also gave the clan the motto - ‘Luceo Non Uro’ or ‘I Shine, Not Burn’ - something that we feel really sums up this  award.

Time Out Restaurant of The Year Award

food award ideasThis award is a special commission for Time Out magazine. Restaurant of the year is the most prestigious award in the catering industry and this modern piece pays homage to the winner in style with a simple outline of a fork pressed into a piece of brushed stainless steel that simply says Bon Appetit - or stick a fork in it!
